The development of the Watershed Wines Winery and production facilities involved several stages. A new premium brand that planned to crush 400 tonnes in the first years rising to 2,500 tonnes in later years with the fruit being grown on the Estate.
The project involved the design and construction of the cellar door, public tasting areas, administration, restaurant and cafe buildings. The Watershed Winery ‘tasting shed’ incorporates large windows at both ends to highlight the magnificent views of the property. The corrugated roof floats above highlight windows running the full length of the building allowing light to penetrate into the full extent of the interior. The columns and walls of the building are local stone providing both function and a stunning visual quality to the building. Created in an appropriate rural form using locally sourced natural materials throughout the construction and fitout, the building sits well within the Margaret River region.
The next stages involved the initial construction and subsequent expansion of the production facilities. The production facilities have a state of the art fit out in keeping with the premium brand.
