The Yelverton Bio Industries development is an environmental waste water treatment plant provisioning treatment of waste water using a custom designed enclosed system. The treated waste water is used on the adjoining irrigation area comprising of 100 acres of floriculture plantings in accordance with the hydraulic and nutrient receiving capacity of the site.
The scope of this project was to work in conjunction with Craneford Plumbing (Hydraulic Services), ECA Systems and Miller Electrical (Electrical Services) to construct a waste water treatment facility including three ATUs, solar, inter-connecting pipework, holding tanks, retaining walls, bunded hard stand and storage.
Due to the nature of the plant’s processing activities, strict environmental sensitivity protocols were required in relation to waste management. A key aspect was the construction of the plant’s bunded concrete hard stand to minimise the risk of spillage from holding and treatment tanks. A focus on quality materials and the use of a reinforced concrete poured stand provides a robust and generally impervious plant containment area.
